Company Biographies (reprinted from the playbill) Sky Bennett is celebrating his third Walker Drama appearance. He notes that, even if this experience is only half as enjoyable as the prior ones it will still be a lot of fun - even if it doesn't require him to carry a broom. Drama II Caroline Chapman, a senior, is making her first appearance in Walker Drama (despite being a "lifer") and is enjoying it immensely. She thanks her supportive family, wild friends, fellow cast members, and, especially, Susan Mader -- who fits all these descriptions. Tara Croft is making her debut appearance in a Walker Drama production as well as serving as Wardrobe Mistress. She is glad Chess isn't acting in this show, because hopefully he can't break the costumes as stage manager. Drama II Colt Conner, a senior, is currently in his fourth year of Walker Drama. He is being recruited by some of the nation's top schools: Diesel Institute of America, Beauty World Cosmetology Academy, and the Handsome Boy Modeling School. Drama III David Daw, a junior, is in his second year with Walker Drama. David currently serves as president of WIT, the Walker Improv Troupe. David looks forward to not updating his bio till next year. Drama III Andy Goetschalckx is making his acting debut. Previously working with lights, he looks forward to life outside the Black Box. He looks forward to acting again in future productions. Drama II Erin Lapointe, a senior and Production Manager for Walker Drama this year, has worked both on and backstage. She is a varsity volleyball captain, a Peer Leader, and is getting ready for college. Susan Mader, a senior, enjoys speaking foreign tongues and debating Julius Caesar's demise. She would like to thank all of her friends, and especially Caroline Chapman, for keeping the cheesiness and sexiness factor alive. Lindsaw Oweida, a sophomore, is enjoying her second on-stage role in Walker Drama. She is greatly entertained by "the small things" and laughs as she juggles swim team, schoolwork, and rehearsals while maintaining her active social life. Bruce Thomson, a senior, marks this as his second Walker Drama appearance, his first as Ivan Cherdyakov (the sneezer) in The Good Doctor. Bruce played the title role in Everyman and worked as an extra on the film, Passing Glory, from which his scenes were cut. Art isn't easy. Chess Schmidt (Stage Manager) gives his thanks to all his ravenous fans
and, more importantly, his loving family. He hopes you enjoy everything,
including his mother's masterpiece brownie creations during intermission.
Drama IV Ashley Burton (violin) is in the seventh grade. She plays violin and participates in Walker's Middle School Young Actors Theater, sings in Walker's vocal group The Mix, and plays soccer. She enjoys cookies and milk late at night. Robin Dainiel(guitar) is Director of Technology at Walker, has been playing guitar for four years. She made her Walker Drama debut as a guitarist in the 1999 production of Spoon River Anthology. Scott Letkeman (flute) is a junior. He has been playing piano for four years and flute for seven. Scott enjoys biking and playing ragtime piano. Adam Mcchesney (guitar) is in the 7th grade, plays electric and acoustic guitar, and loves practicing his scales. Adam plays guitar with the newly formed Walker Band club that soon will be named. When not playing tennis, Adam likes to play music to set his spirit free, and he likes to JAM! Clare Seekins (violin) is a junior. She plays violin and piano, and likes to frolic in the meadow while dancing and singing with Emily. She also enjoys playing soccer. Jessa Vaugahn (violincello) is a sophomore in her first Walker Drama production. She played "first chair" for three years in Middle School and has just recently started playing again. Jessa hopes to be in more productions in the future. Drama II Dennis Cumbow (Composer) is Technology Support Specialist at Walker.
Originally from Bristol, VA, he has been playing, composing and performing
music for seventeen years. Dennis has recorded 3 CDs, published a guitar
instruction book, and written and recorded music for two films, including
the PBS special, Waterfalls of the Southern Appalachians. Dennis arranged
and performed the music for the play, Spoon River Anthology, and also
teaches after-school guitar lessons at Walker. Ken Bolinsky (Director) - Now in his third year with Walker Drama, Ken is a professional director (Society of Stage Directors & Choreographers and Actors' Equity Association), designer, educator and educational consultant. He is as proud to serve as Interim Fine Arts Department Chair as he is of his two Off-Broadway (and one Off-Loop) credits. Ken is honored to be designing and outfitting the new Studio Theatre for the Walker School. |
